Ubiquiti UVC-AI-MS-2-W UniFi Protect AI Multi Sensor 2, all-weather PoE+ 16MP camera with two lenses

The Ubiquiti UniFi AI Multi Sensor 2 (UVC-AI-MS-2-W) is an all-weather 16MP surveillance camera featuring two independently adjustable 4K lenses.

Its flexible dual-sensor design allows one lens to monitor a wide area while the other captures a closer, more detailed view. With motorised 2.33x optical zoom, advanced AI recognition, infrared night vision and PoE+ connectivity, it is ideal for commercial buildings, entrances, loading areas, retail sites and other locations requiring multiple viewing angles from a single camera.

Dual independently adjustable 4K camera lenses

The UVC-AI-MS-2-W combines two 8MP image sensors within one compact enclosure. Each lens can be positioned independently, helping installers monitor two different areas or combine wide-angle situational awareness with a closer view of an entrance, driveway or other important location.

Each sensor records at up to 3840 × 2160 resolution and 30 frames per second, delivering a combined resolution of 16MP.

Motorised 2.33x optical zoom

Both varifocal lenses feature 2.33x optical zoom and an adjustable focal length of 3.18–7.42mm. This enables each camera view to be configured anywhere between a wide 108.8-degree horizontal field of view and a narrower 42.8-degree telephoto view.

Unlike digital zoom, optical zoom adjusts the lens itself to provide a closer view while retaining image detail.

Advanced UniFi Protect AI detection

A built-in Multi-TOPS AI engine provides intelligent video analytics across both camera views. Supported AI capabilities include:

• Face recognition
• Licence plate recognition
• People detection
• Vehicle detection
• Animal detection

These intelligent events can be searched and reviewed through UniFi Protect, helping security personnel locate relevant footage without manually reviewing lengthy recordings.

20-metre infrared night vision

Built-in adaptive infrared illumination provides night-vision coverage of up to 20 metres. An automatic IR-cut filter and adaptive LED control help the camera capture clear footage in low-light and dark conditions.

Ubiquiti notes that this model is optimised for well-lit environments, making it particularly suitable for areas with good ambient lighting during normal operation.

Built-in microphone for recorded audio

An integrated microphone allows the UVC-AI-MS-2-W to capture audio alongside surveillance video. Audio recording can be managed through the UniFi Protect platform and configured according to the requirements and privacy policies of the installation.

Local microSD storage support

The camera includes a microSD card slot for supported on-camera storage and recording-resilience features. This can provide an additional layer of recording protection alongside a compatible UniFi Protect console or Network Video Recorder. The microSD card is sold separately.

Weather-resistant and vandal-resistant construction

With IP66 weather resistance, the UniFi AI Multi Sensor 2 is suitable for exposed outdoor installations. Its IK10 impact-resistance rating also helps protect the camera against deliberate damage in publicly accessible or vulnerable locations.

The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate enclosure is designed to operate in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C.

Flexible indoor and outdoor mounting

The included mounting hardware supports ceiling, wall and pole installation, as well as connection to a conduit pipe adaptor. Optional accessories are available for arm and pendant mounting, while an optional weather shield can provide additional protection in demanding outdoor locations.

Simple PoE+ camera installation

A single Gigabit Ethernet connection carries both network traffic and PoE+ power, simplifying installation and reducing cabling requirements. Maximum power consumption is 25W, so the connected PoE switch or injector must provide a suitable IEEE 802.3at PoE+ power supply.

Centralised management with UniFi Protect

The UVC-AI-MS-2-W integrates with UniFi Protect for live viewing, intelligent notifications, recording management and footage review. A compatible UniFi Protect console or Network Video Recorder is required.
