Ubiquiti USW-PRO-XG-24-POE Professional-grade, 24-port Layer 3 Etherlighting PoE+++ switch with (16) 10 GbE, (8) 2.5 GbE, and (2) 25G SFP28 ports
Ubiquiti UniFi Pro XG 24 PoE Layer 3 Multi-Gigabit Switch – USW-PRO-XG-24-POE
The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro XG 24 PoE (USW-PRO-XG-24-POE) is a professional-grade Layer 3 managed switch built for high-performance enterprise networks, Wi-Fi 7 deployments, IP surveillance, AV-over-IP and other bandwidth-intensive applications. It combines 16 × 10GbE RJ45 ports, eight × 2.5GbE RJ45 ports and two × 25G SFP28 uplinks, with PoE+++ available across all 24 copper ports and a substantial 720W total PoE budget. With 230Gbps non-blocking throughput, Etherlighting port identification and centralised UniFi Network management, it provides exceptional speed, power and flexibility in a compact 1U rackmount design.
16 × 10GbE and Eight × 2.5GbE Multi-Gigabit Ports
The USW-PRO-XG-24-POE provides 24 multi-gigabit copper Ethernet ports for connecting high-performance network devices.
Its 16 × 10GbE RJ45 ports automatically support 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps and 10Gbps connections. These ports are ideal for servers, network-attached storage, high-performance workstations, Wi-Fi access points and AV-over-IP equipment.
A further eight × 2.5GbE RJ45 ports support 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps devices. This broad speed compatibility makes it possible to support existing Gigabit Ethernet equipment while introducing faster multi-gigabit devices.
PoE+++ Across All 24 Ethernet Ports
Every RJ45 port on the UniFi Pro XG 24 PoE supports PoE, PoE+, PoE++ and Ubiquiti-designated PoE+++ power levels. Up to 90W can be delivered through an individual port, subject to the switch’s available power budget and the requirements of the connected device.
The generous 720W total PoE budget can power demanding equipment such as:
- Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points
- PTZ and AI-enabled surveillance cameras
- Video intercoms and access-control devices
- Digital signage and interactive displays
- Thin clients and small computers
- AV-over-IP encoders and decoders
- High-power network appliances
The total power allocated across connected devices must remain within the switch’s 720W PoE budget. Not all 24 ports can simultaneously deliver the maximum 90W output.
Two 25G SFP28 High-Speed Uplink Ports
Two SFP28 ports provide high-bandwidth fibre or direct-attach connectivity at 25Gbps, 10Gbps or 1Gbps. These interfaces can be used to connect the switch to a network core, aggregation switch, server, storage system or another high-capacity switch.
The 25Gbps uplinks help prevent bottlenecks when multiple 10GbE devices are transferring data simultaneously, making the USW-PRO-XG-24-POE suitable for network aggregation and data-intensive environments.
Compatible SFP, SFP+ or SFP28 transceivers and direct-attach cables are required and are generally sold separately.
460Gbps Switching Capacity and 230Gbps Non-Blocking Throughput
The Ubiquiti USW-PRO-XG-24-POE delivers a 460Gbps switching capacity, 230Gbps total non-blocking throughput and a forwarding rate of 342 million packets per second.
This performance enables the switch to process traffic across all ports simultaneously without restricting the available full-duplex bandwidth. An 8MB packet buffer, 32,000-entry MAC address table and support for up to 1,000 VLANs provide capacity for large and highly segmented networks.
Advanced Layer 3 Routing and Network Segmentation
Integrated Layer 3 functionality allows the UniFi Pro XG 24 PoE to route traffic between local networks and VLANs without sending every packet through the main network gateway.
Supported Layer 3 capabilities include:
- Inter-VLAN routing
- Static routing
- Local DHCP server
- DHCP relay
- Up to 512 IPv4 static routes
- IPv4-based access control lists
- MAC-based access control lists
These features make it easier to segment users, servers, wireless networks, security cameras, voice equipment and IoT devices while maintaining controlled communication between network zones.
Advanced Layer 2 Switching and Network Security
The USW-PRO-XG-24-POE includes a comprehensive selection of Layer 2 management, resiliency and security features, including:
- LACP port aggregation
- Spanning Tree Protocol and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol
- DSCP-based quality of service
- Advanced IGMP configuration
- IGMP snooping
- 802.1X network access control
- DHCP snooping and DHCP guarding
- MAC-based access control and device isolation
- IP-based access control lists and network isolation
- Port isolation and port mirroring
- Egress rate limiting
- Flow control and storm control
- Multicast and broadcast rate limiting
- Jumbo-frame support
- LLDP-MED and voice VLAN support
- Loop protection
- Virtual network override
Professional AV Profiles for AV-over-IP Networks
Built-in professional AV profiles help simplify the configuration of multicast and AV-over-IP environments. The switch includes profiles for commonly deployed platforms and protocols such as:
- Dante
- Q-SYS
- NDI
- SDVoE
- Shure
- AES67
- Crestron
- Play
These profiles can reduce the time required to configure VLANs, multicast controls and other relevant network settings for professional audio and video deployments.
UniFi Network Centralised Management
The USW-PRO-XG-24-POE is managed through the UniFi Network application, giving administrators a central interface for configuring ports, PoE output, VLANs, routing, access controls, traffic management and network topology.
When combined with UniFi gateways, access points and other UniFi switches, it becomes part of a unified network-management platform. Administrators can monitor connected devices, view port utilisation, manage firmware and troubleshoot network connections from a web browser or mobile device.
The switch requires UniFi Network version 9.1.120 or later.
Etherlighting Port Identification and Touchscreen Display
UniFi Etherlighting uses illuminated port indicators to help installers and administrators visually identify port status, connection speed, VLAN assignment and other network information. Etherlighting is provided for both the RJ45 and SFP28 interfaces, helping simplify cable identification and troubleshooting in densely populated equipment racks.
A built-in 1.3-inch touchscreen provides convenient access to switch status and device information directly from the front panel.
Redundant Power Support for Critical Networks
The switch includes an internal universal 100–240V AC power supply and a USP-RPS DC input for connection to a compatible UniFi redundant power system. A secondary power source can help maintain network operation if the primary internal power supply or AC power source becomes unavailable.
Its durable SGCC steel enclosure fits a standard 19-inch four-post rack and occupies 1U of rack space.
