The Ubiquiti UniFi Pro XG 48 (USW-PRO-XG-48) is a professional-grade, high-capacity Layer 3 managed switch designed for enterprise networks, data-intensive business environments, server connectivity and high-performance aggregation. It combines 32 × 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 16 × 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four 25G SFP28 uplinks in a compact 1U rackmount design. With 460Gbps non-blocking throughput, redundant power support and centralised UniFi management, the USW-PRO-XG-48 provides a powerful foundation for modern multi-gigabit networks.

Please note that the USW-PRO-XG-48 does not supply PoE. Ubiquiti offers a separate USW-Pro-XG-48-PoE model for installations requiring powered network ports.

48-Port Multi-Gigabit Connectivity for Demanding Networks

The UniFi Pro XG 48 provides an extensive selection of high-speed copper interfaces. Its 32 × 10GbE RJ45 ports support 100Mbps, 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps and 10Gbps connections, making them suitable for servers, workstations, NAS systems and high-performance network infrastructure.

A further 16 × 2.5GbE RJ45 ports support 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps devices. This mixed-speed port configuration allows organisations to introduce multi-gigabit connectivity while maintaining compatibility with existing Ethernet equipment.

Four 25G SFP28 Ports for High-Speed Uplinks and Aggregation

Four 25G SFP28 ports provide high-bandwidth fibre or direct-attach connectivity to core switches, servers and storage infrastructure. Each SFP28 interface can operate at 25Gbps, 10Gbps or 1Gbps, providing flexibility when connecting the switch to both new and existing network environments.

These uplinks make the USW-PRO-XG-48 particularly well suited to network aggregation, data-centre edge deployments, video production environments and businesses transferring large volumes of data between servers, workstations and storage systems.

920Gbps Switching Capacity and 460Gbps Non-Blocking Throughput

With a switching capacity of 920Gbps, total non-blocking throughput of 460Gbps and a forwarding rate of 684 million packets per second, the Ubiquiti USW-PRO-XG-48 is engineered to handle high levels of simultaneous network traffic.

Its 8MB packet buffer, 32,000-entry MAC address table and support for up to 1,000 VLANs provide the resources required for large, segmented and performance-sensitive networks.

Advanced Layer 3 Switching and Network Segmentation

The UniFi Pro XG 48 includes Layer 3 functionality for routing traffic between local networks without sending every packet through the main gateway. Supported features include inter-VLAN routing, static routing, local DHCP server services and DHCP relay.

The switch supports up to 512 IPv4 static routes and provides IPv4- and MAC-based access control lists. These capabilities enable administrators to create structured network segments and control how users, servers, applications and connected devices communicate.

UniFi Network Centralised Management

The USW-PRO-XG-48 is managed through the UniFi Network application, providing administrators with a central interface for configuring ports, VLANs, routing, security policies, traffic controls and network topology.

When deployed alongside UniFi gateways, wireless access points and other UniFi switches, it becomes part of a unified management environment with centralised monitoring and configuration. The switch requires UniFi Network version 9.0.114 or later.

Etherlighting Port Identification and Touchscreen Display

Ubiquiti Etherlighting technology uses illuminated port indicators to help administrators identify port locations, speeds, VLAN assignments and connection states. This can simplify installation, troubleshooting and cable management in densely populated racks.

A built-in 1.3-inch touchscreen display provides convenient access to switch status and device information directly from the front panel.

Redundant Power Support for Critical Installations

The switch includes an internal universal 100–240V AC power supply and a USP-RPS DC input for connection to a compatible UniFi redundant power system. This secondary power option can help maintain operation if the primary internal power supply or AC source becomes unavailable.

The durable SGCC steel chassis fits a standard 19-inch, four-post equipment rack and occupies 1U of rack space.
