The Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions MAA5-0920-C7B-GA combines the rugged R920 Cat 7 LTE WiFi router with five-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials and Advanced Plans. It delivers long-term cloud management, advanced security, application analytics and GNSS-based fleet visibility for connected vehicles and mobile IoT deployments. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions was formerly known as Cradlepoint.

Long-Term LTE Connectivity for Vehicles and Field Teams

The R920-C7B incorporates a Cat 7 LTE modem with theoretical download speeds up to 300Mbps and upload speeds up to 150Mbps. Dual nano-SIM slots provide flexible carrier deployment, while 2x2 cellular MIMO supports reliable mobile connectivity.

Its IP64-rated enclosure, wide 9–36V DC input, ignition sensing and resistance to shock, vibration and extreme temperatures make it suitable for permanent installation in vehicles and other demanding environments.

WiFi 6, Gigabit Ethernet and GNSS/GPS

Dual-radio WiFi 6 provides simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz connectivity using 2x2 MU-MIMO. The R920 can operate as an access point, wireless client or WiFi-as-WAN device.

Two switchable Gigabit Ethernet LAN/WAN ports connect wired equipment or an additional WAN service. Integrated GNSS supports GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS.

Five-Year NetCloud Mobile Essentials Plan

The Essentials Plan provides the core management and routing functionality needed to operate the R920 across a distributed vehicle fleet.

It includes:

External Antenna Interfaces

The R920 provides two SMA female cellular connectors, two RP-SMA WiFi connectors, one SMA GNSS/GPS connector and one RP-SMA Bluetooth connector.

Direct-attach paddle antennas are compatible. For vehicle installations, Ericsson recommends remote or cabled antennas for optimum performance. A roof-mounted combination antenna can place the cellular, WiFi and GNSS elements outside the vehicle body, reducing signal obstruction.

Antennas and an AC power supply are not included with this Mobile package.

Optional Second LTE or 5G Modem

The optional RX20-MC Managed Accessory allows a compatible second LTE or 5G modem to be added for multi-carrier resilience, failover or enhanced performance.
