The Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions MAA1-0920-C7B-GA combines the rugged R920 mobile LTE WiFi router with one-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials and Advanced Plans. Designed for connected vehicles, field workforces and mobile IoT applications, the R920 delivers Cat 7 LTE, concurrent dual-band WiFi 6, dual Gigabit Ethernet and GNSS/GPS, backed by centralised cloud management and advanced network-security services. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions was formerly known as Cradlepoint.

Rugged Cat 7 LTE Router for Vehicles and Mobile Operations

The R920-C7B features an embedded global Cat 7 LTE modem capable of theoretical download speeds up to 300Mbps and upload speeds up to 150Mbps. Its 2x2 MIMO cellular architecture and dual 4FF nano-SIM slots provide deployment flexibility across supported mobile networks.

A rugged IP64-rated enclosure, 9–36V DC input, ignition sensing and resistance to vibration, shock and temperature extremes make the R920 suitable for service vehicles, public transport, emergency response, utilities, mobile surveillance and field operations.

Concurrent WiFi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet Networking

Dual-radio WiFi 6 provides simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connectivity with 2x2 MU-MIMO. The R920 supports access-point, wireless-client and WiFi-as-WAN modes, allowing it to provide local wireless access or use an available WiFi network as an alternative WAN connection.

Two switchable Gigabit Ethernet LAN/WAN interfaces support wired equipment such as computers, cameras, payment terminals, telemetry systems and IoT controllers.

NetCloud Mobile Essentials for R920 Management

The one-year NetCloud Mobile Essentials Plan provides the R920’s core cloud-management, routing and security capabilities. NetCloud Manager enables administrators to deploy, configure, monitor and troubleshoot routers remotely across an entire vehicle fleet or distributed mobile network.

NetCloud Mobile Essentials includes:

These capabilities help administrators understand how applications use cellular bandwidth, enforce more granular security policies and identify coverage issues affecting vehicles in the field.

External Cellular, WiFi and GNSS Antenna Connections

The R920 provides:

• 2 x SMA female cellular connectors for 2x2 MIMO LTE
• 2 x RP-SMA connectors for dual-band WiFi
• 1 x SMA connector for an active GNSS/GPS antenna
• 1 x RP-SMA connector for Bluetooth Low Energy

Compatible direct-attach paddle antennas can be used. For mobile and in-vehicle installations, Ericsson recommends remote or cabled multi-element antennas for optimum performance, allowing the antenna elements to be positioned externally on a vehicle roof.

Antennas and an AC power supply are not included with this Mobile package and must be selected separately.
