Ubiquiti UNVR-G2 Enterprise NVR G2, 4 x 2.5/3.5 in HDD Bays, built-in AI event analytics, HDMI output, UniFi Protect
Four drive bays, built-in AI analytics, HDMI viewing and support for up to 30 4K cameras for business surveillance.
Ubiquiti UNVR-G2 UniFi Network Video Recorder G2
The Ubiquiti UNVR-G2 is a four-bay UniFi Protect network video recorder with built-in AI event analytics, HDMI viewing and high-speed network connectivity. Supporting up to 30 4K cameras in a compact 1U rackmount chassis, it provides centralised surveillance recording for offices, retail sites, warehouses and other business premises.
UniFi Protect with Local Recording and Remote Access
UniFi Protect combines on-site video storage with access through a web browser or the Protect mobile app. Authorised users can view live cameras and review recordings remotely, while footage remains stored on the recorder.
Core Protect operation requires no per-camera licensing fees, making it easier to budget for an expanding surveillance installation.
Built-In AI Event Analytics
Integrated AI event analytics help users investigate activity within their surveillance system. This makes the UNVR-G2 a useful foundation for installations where finding relevant events is as important as recording footage.
Available analytics depend on the connected cameras and supported software features. Select cameras around the detection capabilities required for each location.
Integrated HDMI Camera Viewing
The built-in HDMI Viewport allows a directly connected display to show camera feeds without a separate viewing appliance. This suits reception desks, security offices and other locations requiring an always-visible camera display.
Using the integrated Viewport reduces the recorder’s supported camera capacity, so include local viewing requirements when sizing the system.
Four Drive Bays for Flexible Recording Storage
Four bays accommodate compatible 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch HDDs and SSDs. Size storage around camera bitrates, recording schedules and the required retention period.
Supported RAID configurations provide protection against drive failure, with usable capacity depending on the selected configuration. RAID improves resilience but does not replace a separate copy of important evidence.
High-Speed Networking and Optional Power Redundancy
The UNVR-G2 provides 10G SFP+ and 2.5GbE RJ45 connectivity, giving installers a choice of fibre, direct attach or copper network connections.
For additional power resilience, the optional Ubiquiti USP-RPS Redundant Power System connects to the recorder’s DC backup input. Include suitable UPS protection where continued operation during mains outages is required.
UNVR-G2 or UNVR-G2-Pro?
Choose the UNVR-G2 for a four-bay installation where rack space matters. The UNVR-G2-Pro provides eight drive bays, 16 GB memory and support for up to 50 4K cameras in a larger 2U chassis, making it better suited to higher camera counts or greater storage requirements.

Camera capacities are alternative resolution-based limits, not additive totals. Mixed-camera deployments and storage retention should be sized for the actual installation.
