Grandstream GWN7670ELR Outdoor 802.11be 2x2 Dual Band WiFi 7 Long Range Access Point with 2.5gbps Ethernet and SFP

The Grandstream GWN7670ELR is an enterprise-grade outdoor Wi-Fi 7 access point designed to deliver fast, reliable wireless connectivity across large outdoor and industrial environments. Combining up to 3.6Gbps aggregate wireless throughput, long-range coverage of up to 350 metres, a 2.5GbE Ethernet port and an SFP fibre uplink, it is well suited to warehouses, campuses, schools, parks, hospitality venues, car parks and other demanding outdoor deployments.

High-performance dual-band Wi-Fi 7

Built on the IEEE 802.11be Wi-Fi 7 standard, the GWN7670ELR operates across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. It supports advanced technologies including Multi-Link Operation, 4096-QAM, Multi-RU, preamble puncturing, beamforming and downlink/uplink OFDMA to improve wireless capacity, efficiency and responsiveness.

The access point provides up to 688Mbps on the 2.4GHz band and 2,882Mbps on the 5GHz band, delivering combined wireless throughput of approximately 3.6Gbps. Advanced QoS helps maintain dependable performance for voice, video and other latency-sensitive applications.

Extended outdoor Wi-Fi coverage

Grandstream’s Xtra Range technology and integrated high-gain omnidirectional antennas enable the GWN7670ELR to provide wireless coverage of up to 350 metres under suitable conditions. Its 360-degree coverage pattern makes it suitable for open outdoor areas where reliable connectivity is required across a broad footprint.

The rugged IP67-rated enclosure protects the access point against dust and water, while an operating temperature range of -30°C to 60°C supports year-round installation in challenging outdoor environments.

2.5GbE Ethernet and SFP fibre connectivity

The GWN7670ELR includes a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port with 802.3at PoE+ input, allowing network connectivity and power to be delivered over a single Ethernet cable. A separate SFP port provides the flexibility to use fibre for longer cable runs, electrical isolation or connections between buildings.

This combination makes the access point particularly useful for campuses, industrial sites and remote outdoor locations where standard copper Ethernet distance limitations may be unsuitable.

Support for up to 512 concurrent Wi-Fi clients

Designed for medium-to-large deployments, the Grandstream GWN7670ELR can support up to 512 concurrent wireless clients. It provides 32 SSIDs in total, with up to 16 SSIDs available per radio, enabling administrators to create separate wireless networks for employees, visitors, operational devices and other user groups.

VLAN support, client and band steering, bandwidth controls and dynamic radio resource management help administrators optimise network performance across busy wireless environments.

Enterprise Wi-Fi security and authentication

The GWN7670ELR supports WPA2 and WPA3 Personal and Enterprise security, 802.1X authentication, PPSK, MAC authentication and multiple captive portal options. Captive portal authentication can be integrated with RADIUS, Active Directory, SAML single sign-on, vouchers, passwords and supported social login services.

Additional protections include secure boot, digitally signed firmware and control data, a unique security certificate and random default password for each device, client isolation, MAC filtering, rogue access point detection and containment, ARP attack defence and IPv6 neighbour discovery attack defence.

Seamless roaming, mesh and wireless bridge support

Support for 802.11k, 802.11v and 802.11r assists compatible devices with roaming between access points. The GWN7670ELR can also participate in Grandstream mesh networks and supports bridge and extender operating modes, providing greater installation flexibility where a wired connection is not practical.

Free cloud, embedded and on-premises management

The Grandstream GWN7670ELR provides several flexible management options without mandatory recurring controller licence fees:

• The embedded controller can manage up to 50 local Grandstream GWN access points.
• GDMS Networking provides free cloud-based management for Grandstream networking devices.
• GWN Manager provides an on-premises software management option.
• The GWN mobile app enables convenient monitoring and administration from compatible mobile devices.

These options allow the GWN7670ELR to be deployed as a standalone access point or as part of a centrally managed multi-site Grandstream wireless network.
