Ubiquiti UC-EV-STATION-LITE UniFi EV Station Lite 3-Phase Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EU Model)
For the NZ market, this is the EU/Type 2 version of the EV Station Lite, capable of up to 22kW three-phase charging rather than the 11kW J1772 North American version. Ubiquiti specifies an IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector, IP55 weatherproofing, Wi-Fi 6, Ethernet, Bluetooth 5.0 and management through UniFi Connect.
Ubiquiti UniFi EV Station Lite UC-EV-STATION-LITE – 22kW 3-Phase Type 2 EV Charger
The Ubiquiti UniFi EV Station Lite UC-EV-STATION-LITE is a weatherproof 22kW three-phase Level 2 electric vehicle charging station designed for businesses, workplaces, commercial properties, apartment buildings, hospitality environments and other managed EV charging deployments. Featuring an integrated 7-metre Type 2 charging cable, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC and UniFi Identity access control, a compact status display and centralised management through UniFi Connect, the EV Station Lite brings electric vehicle charging into the wider UniFi management ecosystem.
Note. UniFi Access must be running on the same console as UniFi Connect for NFC card registration.
22kW Three-Phase EV Charging
The UniFi EV Station Lite supports up to 22kW three-phase AC charging, making it suitable for faster workplace and commercial EV charging where an appropriate three-phase electrical supply is available.
The European-market model uses the widely adopted IEC 62196-2 Type 2 charging connector, making it suitable for compatible electric vehicles used throughout New Zealand, Australia, Europe and other Type 2 markets.
Charging output can be configured according to the electrical circuit and installation requirements, allowing the EV Station Lite to be deployed across a variety of sites rather than requiring every installation to provide the maximum 22kW output.
Actual charging speed will depend on the configured electrical supply and the maximum AC charging rate supported by the connected vehicle.
Integrated 7-Metre Type 2 Charging Cable
The EV Station Lite features an integrated 7-metre charging cable with an IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector.
The generous cable length provides flexibility when positioning the charging station and allows convenient connection to vehicles parked in different orientations.
With the charging cable permanently attached to the station, users do not need to provide their own charging cable, making the EV Station Lite particularly convenient for shared and workplace charging applications.
Flexible EV Charger Access Control
A major advantage of the UniFi EV Station Lite is its integration with the wider Ubiquiti UniFi ecosystem, allowing organisations to control who is authorised to use individual charging stations.
Access can be provided through:
- UniFi Identity mobile access
- NFC cards
- Managed user access
- Open access where appropriate
This makes the EV Station Lite suitable for environments where EV charging needs to be restricted to authorised employees, residents, tenants, customers or other approved users.
For NFC card registration, UniFi Access must be running on the same UniFi Console as UniFi Connect.
Centralised Management with UniFi Connect
The UC-EV-STATION-LITE is managed using UniFi Connect, providing administrators with a centralised interface for configuring and monitoring EV charging infrastructure.
UniFi Connect can be used to manage charging stations alongside other supported UniFi devices, providing a consistent management experience familiar to organisations already using Ubiquiti infrastructure.
Management capabilities include charging configuration, user access control, monitoring and management of multiple EV Stations across a UniFi deployment.
This makes the EV Station Lite particularly attractive for organisations already standardising on UniFi networking, security and building infrastructure.
Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Connectivity
The EV Station Lite provides multiple connectivity options for flexible installation.
Connectivity includes:
- 1 × Gigabit Ethernet RJ45
- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
- Bluetooth 5.0
- USB-C
Ethernet can be used where wired network connectivity is available, while Wi-Fi provides greater flexibility where running a network cable to the charging location is impractical.
This makes it easier to deploy UniFi EV Stations across car parks, commercial buildings, apartment complexes and other distributed environments.
Compact 1.7-Inch Status Display
An integrated 1.7-inch status display provides users with essential information directly at the charging station.
The compact display maintains the clean, minimalist appearance associated with UniFi products while providing the information needed during normal charging operation.
Unlike the larger UniFi EV Station Pro, the Lite model focuses on straightforward EV charging and access control rather than providing a large interactive touchscreen.
Weatherproof IP55 Design
The UniFi EV Station Lite is designed for indoor or outdoor deployment and features an IP55-rated polycarbonate enclosure.
IP55 protection helps protect the charger against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for installations such as:
- Commercial car parks
- Workplace parking
- Apartment buildings
- Hotels and accommodation
- Retail premises
- Education facilities
- Fleet parking areas
- Covered and exposed outdoor charging locations
The charger is rated to operate in ambient temperatures from -30°C to 50°C, providing a wide environmental operating range.
Wall or Stand Mounting
The UC-EV-STATION-LITE can be installed directly onto a suitable wall using the included wall mount.
For locations where wall mounting is not practical, such as open car parks, the EV Station Lite can also be installed on the Ubiquiti EV Station Stand using the appropriate EV Station Lite Stand Adapter.
This gives installers greater flexibility when designing charging infrastructure for different sites.
The stand and EV Station Lite Stand Adapter are available separately.
Ideal for Scalable Commercial EV Charging
Ubiquiti has designed the EV Station Lite for scalable deployments, making it particularly suitable where multiple charging stations need to be installed and centrally managed.
Typical applications include:
- Corporate offices
- Employee EV charging
- Commercial buildings
- Apartment and multi-dwelling developments
- Hotels and accommodation providers
- Retail centres
- Education campuses
- Managed car parks
- Vehicle fleet charging
- Government facilities
- UniFi-managed buildings
Centralised UniFi management and flexible user access control make the EV Station Lite especially useful where charging facilities are shared between multiple authorised users.
Part of the Ubiquiti UniFi Ecosystem
For organisations already using Ubiquiti, the EV Station Lite provides an opportunity to extend the UniFi ecosystem beyond networking and security into managed EV charging.
A UniFi environment can combine technologies such as:
- UniFi Network for switching and Wi-Fi
- UniFi Protect for video surveillance
- UniFi Access for building and door access
- UniFi Connect for managed devices and EV charging
- UniFi Identity for user authentication and access
This integrated approach can simplify management by reducing the number of separate platforms required to operate different elements of a commercial site.

Why Choose the Ubiquiti UniFi EV Station Lite?
The Ubiquiti UC-EV-STATION-LITE provides a compelling EV charging solution for organisations that want more than a standalone electric vehicle charger.
With up to 22kW three-phase charging, an integrated 7-metre Type 2 cable, weatherproof IP55 enclosure and wall or stand mounting options, it provides the core hardware required for practical commercial EV charging installations.
Its real advantage, however, is integration with the UniFi ecosystem. Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity allow chargers to be centrally managed through UniFi Connect, while UniFi Identity and NFC integration provide flexible control over who is authorised to charge.
For businesses, commercial properties, apartment developments and organisations already using UniFi infrastructure, the UniFi EV Station Lite provides scalable, centrally managed EV charging with the familiar simplicity of the Ubiquiti UniFi platform.
