Ericsson Enterprise Wireless LW03-AP2600-G0 Wi-Fi 6 2x2 Access Point, 3-yr NetCloud Essentials
Ericsson Cradlepoint AP2600 Wi-Fi 6 Access Point with 3-Year NetCloud Essentials
Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions LW01-AP2600-G0 combines the AP2600 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point with a one-year NetCloud Wi-Fi AP Essentials Plan. Designed to extend the wireless capacity and coverage of supported Ericsson branch routers, the AP2600 delivers centrally managed business Wi-Fi for offices, retail stores and other small-to-medium fixed locations. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions was formerly known as Cradlepoint.
Centrally Managed Wi-Fi 6 for Ericsson Branch Networks
The Ericsson Cradlepoint AP2600 expands a supported E-Series router beyond its built-in Wi-Fi capacity, allowing businesses to accommodate more users, IoT equipment, point-of-sale terminals, scanners, cameras, tablets and other wireless devices.
The access point integrates with the router as part of an Ericsson LAN Solution. Routers, AP2600 access points and compatible SW2400P Ethernet switches can be configured and monitored through Ericsson NetCloud Manager, providing one cloud-based management platform for the complete branch network.
Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Performance
The AP2600 supports Wi-Fi 6 using simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios with MU-MIMO and two spatial streams. Wi-Fi 6 improves wireless efficiency in environments containing multiple connected devices, while support for band steering helps direct compatible clients to the most appropriate frequency band.
Manual and dynamic channel selection help reduce interference and optimise wireless performance. The AP2600 also supports 20MHz and 40MHz channels on 2.4GHz, with channel widths of up to 160MHz available on 5GHz.
Multiple SSIDs and Secure Network Segmentation
The AP2600 supports up to four SSIDs per radio, providing a total of up to eight wireless networks. Different SSIDs can be assigned to appropriate client VLANs, making it easier to separate staff, guest, IoT and operational traffic.
Security features include WPA3 encryption, password-protected wireless networks and guest network provisioning. Enterprise security modes and RadSec can also be configured for deployments requiring centralised authentication.
Seamless Roaming and Expandable Wireless Coverage
Up to five AP2600 access points can be supported by a compatible Ericsson router. Common SSID configurations and seamless roaming help connected devices maintain service as users move between coverage areas.
This makes the AP2600 suitable for sites where a single router cannot provide sufficient Wi-Fi coverage or client capacity.
Ericsson NetCloud Wi-Fi AP Essentials Plan
The included three-year NetCloud Wi-Fi AP Essentials Plan enables the AP2600 to be activated, configured and managed through Ericsson NetCloud Manager.
For the AP2600, NetCloud Essentials provides:
- Centralised cloud management through Ericsson NetCloud Manager
- Remote configuration and monitoring of the access point
- Group-based wireless configuration
- SSID, security and client-VLAN management
- Wi-Fi radio and channel configuration
- Visibility of AP status and connected wireless clients
- Centralised software and configuration management
- Integration with supported Ericsson routers and switches
- Access to Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions support during the subscription term
The AP2600 is an accessory with a subscription and requires a supported Ericsson router with an active NetCloud Service Plan for activation and operation. The included Essentials term is one year, after which an appropriate NetCloud Wi-Fi AP Essentials renewal is required to retain licensed NetCloud management functionality.
Flexible Ethernet and Power Options
Two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports provide network connectivity and deployment flexibility. The AP2600 can be powered using either an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ connection or an optional 12V DC power supply.
A power supply and PoE injector are not included with LW01-AP2600-G0. When using PoE+, a suitable 802.3at-capable switch or injector is required. The Ericsson SW2400P PoE+ switch is designed to complement the AP2600 within a centrally managed Ericsson LAN Solution.
Built-In Wi-Fi Antennas
The AP2600 uses built-in antennas and does not have external Wi-Fi antenna connectors. This integrated antenna design simplifies installation and avoids the need to purchase or attach separate antennas.
Internal antenna gain is rated at:
- 4.9dBi for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi
- 5.5dBi for 5GHz Wi-Fi
- 5.2dBi for Bluetooth Low Energy
Because the antennas are internal, installers should position the AP carefully to maximise coverage and minimise obstruction from walls, metalwork and other sources of radio-frequency attenuation.
