The Ubiquiti UP-ALARMHUB-KIT brings hardwired intrusion sensors into UniFi Protect, with 32 alarm input zones, programmable relay outputs and optional battery backup. Designed for new installations and retrofits, it provides a practical way to incorporate compatible wired alarm sensors into a centrally managed security system.

32 Wired Alarm Zones for New Installations and Retrofits

Connect hardwired intrusion sensors directly to the Alarm Hub, allowing installers to retain suitable existing wiring and sensors when upgrading a security installation. Its 32 input zones provide scope for monitoring individual entrances, rooms and other protected areas across homes, offices, retail premises and warehouses.

Optional end-of-line resistor monitoring supports supervised sensor wiring. For retrofit projects, installers should check each sensor’s electrical requirements, wiring configuration and resistor values before reusing existing equipment.

UniFi Protect Management and Custom Alerts

Manage the Alarm Hub through UniFi Protect, bringing wired intrusion monitoring into the same application used for UniFi video security.

UniFi Alarm Manager provides configurable notifications and automations based on supported events. Select who receives push or email alerts, configure available hardware actions, or use webhooks to connect events to external systems. Available triggers and actions depend on the devices and software deployed.

Programmable Relays and Integrated Tamper Detection

Two programmable relay outputs provide connections for compatible sirens and external alarm equipment. Selectable wet or dry operation allows installers to match the output to the connected device’s requirements.

An integrated tamper sensor detects unauthorised access to the hub, adding monitoring of the alarm equipment itself.

PoE Power with Optional Battery Backup

PoE++ or PoE+++ supplies power through the network connection, simplifying installation where a suitable powered switch port or injector is available. Auxiliary 12V outputs supply compatible powered sensors, while a PoE+ output supports a downstream device.

The available output budget depends on the input power source, so installers should calculate the combined connected load before selecting the power supply. Optional 12V sealed lead-acid battery backup supports continued hub operation during a power interruption; runtime depends on battery capacity and connected load.

Ubiquiti lists its 60W PoE++ Adapter and 90W 10G PoE+++ Adapter as companion accessories. These are useful where the existing switch cannot provide the required power.

Indoor Wall-Mounted Alarm Installation

The steel enclosure is designed for indoor wall mounting. Position it where sensor wiring can be terminated neatly and the hub remains accessible for servicing.

For installations with existing hardwired sensors, the Alarm Hub provides a direct wired integration route. Where wireless sensors are preferred, Ubiquiti’s separate SuperLink Gateway and compatible SuperLink sensors provide an alternative deployment approach.
