The UniFi AI Key is a local edge computing appliance from Ubiquiti that enhances your UniFi Protect security camera system with powerful, on-premises AI features. 

It works with your existing G4, G5, and AI-series cameras to provide advanced analytics without requiring cloud subscriptions.

  • Natural Language Search: Allows you to search your video history using plain text (e.g., "person in a red jacket walking by" or "delivery truck") rather than scrubbing through hours of footage.
  • NeXT AI Summaries: Automatically generates quick text summaries of what occurred during detected events.
  • Speech-to-Text Transcription: Transcribes any audio captured by cameras with microphones, making voice events searchable.
  • Enhanced Recognition: Adds advanced License Plate Recognition (LPR) and Facial Recognition to standard G4 and G5 cameras.
  • Processing Limit: The device processes up to 1,800 smart detection events per hour (typically serving up to 1,000 deep-analysis requests). Multiple AI Keys can be stacked on larger networks.
