Grandstream GS-POE15W-MG 2.5Gbps PoE Injector

The Grandstream GS-POE15W-MG is a compact, plug-and-play PoE injector that delivers network connectivity and power through a single Ethernet cable. Featuring 2.5Gbps multi-gigabit Ethernet passthrough and support for IEEE 802.3af PoE, it provides a convenient way to power compatible Grandstream wireless access points, IP phones and other PoE-enabled devices when a PoE switch is unavailable.

2.5Gbps Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity

The GS-POE15W-MG features a 2.5Gbps RJ45 LAN input and a 2.5Gbps RJ45 PoE output. This allows it to support higher network speeds than a conventional Gigabit PoE injector, helping prevent the power injector from becoming a bottleneck when used with compatible multi-gigabit equipment.

The actual link speed is negotiated between the connected network switch and powered device. This allows the injector to be used with compatible equipment operating at speeds up to 2.5Gbps, including standard 1Gbps Ethernet connections.

IEEE 802.3af PoE Power

Compliant with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, the GS-POE15W-MG provides up to 20W of PoE output. It is suitable for compatible devices whose power requirements fall within the available output of the injector.

By carrying power and data over the same Ethernet cable, it reduces cabling requirements and allows network devices to be installed in locations where a nearby electrical outlet may not be available.

Simple Plug-and-Play Installation

The GS-POE15W-MG requires no configuration or management software. Connect its LAN input to a network switch or router, connect the PoE output to the powered device, and then attach the injector to AC power.

LED indicators provide an immediate visual indication of power and PoE-load status, making installation and basic troubleshooting straightforward.

Ideal for Expanding Non-PoE Networks

The Grandstream GS-POE15W-MG is a practical option when only one additional PoE connection is required. It avoids the cost and disruption of replacing an otherwise suitable non-PoE switch and can also provide a dedicated source of PoE power for an individual device.
