The Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions TCA5-0920-C7B-GM provides the rugged R920 Cat 7 LTE WiFi router with five-year NetCloud Ruggedized IoT Essentials and Advanced Plans. Supplied with cellular and WiFi paddle antennas plus an international AC power supply, it offers a comprehensive, long-term connectivity and security platform for distributed IoT applications. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions was formerly known as Cradlepoint.

Cat 7 LTE Connectivity for Rugged IoT Deployments

The embedded global Cat 7 LTE modem supports theoretical download speeds up to 300Mbps and upload speeds up to 150Mbps. Dual nano-SIM slots and 2x2 MIMO provide flexible cellular deployment across supported mobile networks.

The IP64-rated enclosure, 9–36V DC input and wide operating-temperature range suit demanding IoT environments such as building automation, utilities, energy, kiosks, smart-city infrastructure, warehouses and protected outdoor enclosures.

WiFi 6 and Flexible Wired Networking

Concurrent dual-band WiFi 6 delivers 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless connectivity for local devices, installation access or WiFi-as-WAN operation.

Two switchable Gigabit Ethernet LAN/WAN ports connect cameras, controllers, industrial gateways and other wired equipment or provide an alternative WAN service.

Five-Year NetCloud Ruggedized IoT Essentials Plan

The Essentials Plan provides centralised cloud management and the core networking functionality needed to deploy and operate R920 routers at scale.

Included R920 Antennas and AC Power Supply

The package includes:

• 2 x 600MHz–6GHz direct-attach cellular paddle antennas with SMA connectors
• 2 x dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz direct-attach WiFi paddle antennas with RP-SMA connectors
• International 12V AC power supply
• GPIO cable
• Mounting template

The included paddle antennas are suitable for many fixed-site and IoT applications. Cabled external antennas can be fitted when improved signal placement is required, such as when the router is mounted inside a metal cabinet or equipment enclosure.

Separate connections are also provided for an active GNSS/GPS antenna and a Bluetooth antenna. These antennas are not listed as included with the package.

Expandable LTE and 5G Platform

The R920 supports the optional RX20-MC Managed Accessory, allowing a compatible second LTE or 5G modem to be installed. This provides a path to multi-carrier resilience, dual-modem failover or higher-performance cellular connectivity.
