NETGEAR MSM4352-100AJS AV Line 52-Port Multi-Gig PoE++ Managed Switch, 44x 2.5G Ethernet, 4x 25G SFP28, 4x 10GigE PoE++ Ports
NETGEAR MSM4352-100AJS M4350 AV Line 52-Port Multi-Gigabit PoE++ Managed Switch
The NETGEAR MSM4352-100AJS is an enterprise-class M4350 AV Line managed switch built for high-performance AV-over-IP, campus and commercial networks. It combines 44 × 2.5Gbps PoE++ ports, four × 10Gbps Multi-Gigabit PoE++ ports and four × 25G SFP28 uplinks in a compact 1U design. With a 500Gbps switching fabric, Virtual Chassis stacking, advanced Layer 3 routing and an expandable PoE budget of up to 3,314W, the MSM4352 delivers the bandwidth, power and resilience required for demanding professional installations.
High-density 2.5Gbps PoE++ switching
The MSM4352 provides 44 Multi-Gigabit RJ45 ports supporting 100Mbps, 1Gbps and 2.5Gbps Ethernet. These ports are ideal for high-performance wireless access points, AV-over-IP endpoints, IP cameras and other devices that require more bandwidth than conventional Gigabit Ethernet can provide.
All 44 ports support IEEE 802.3bt Ultra90 PoE++, delivering up to 90W per port to compatible powered devices, subject to the total available PoE budget.
Four 10Gbps Multi-Gigabit PoE++ ports
Four additional RJ45 ports support 1Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps and 10Gbps Ethernet. These ports also provide Ultra90 PoE++ power of up to 90W per port.
The 10G Multi-Gigabit connections are suitable for high-bandwidth AV encoders, WiFi access points, production equipment, workstations, servers and other devices that require faster copper connectivity without sacrificing PoE capability.
Four 25G SFP28 uplinks
Four SFP28 slots support 10Gbps and 25Gbps fibre or direct-attach connections. These high-speed interfaces can be used for uplinks, stacking, server connectivity or links to core network infrastructure.
The 25G uplinks provide ample capacity for aggregating traffic from the switch’s 48 Multi-Gigabit copper ports. They are particularly valuable in large AV-over-IP, WiFi, surveillance and campus networks where multiple high-bandwidth data streams must be carried without creating an uplink bottleneck.
Expandable PoE++ budget up to 3,314W
The MSM4352 includes a fixed 550W internal power supply, which provides a base PoE budget of 194W. Two modular power-supply bays allow compatible NETGEAR power supplies to be added for increased PoE capacity, power redundancy or a combination of both.
Compatible modular power supplies include the NETGEAR APS350W, APS600Wv2, APS920W and APS2000W. With the appropriate power-supply configuration and input power, the total PoE budget can be expanded to as much as 3,314W. A redundant PoE configuration can provide up to 1,794W while retaining power-supply failover.
Additional modular power supplies are sold separately. The available PoE budget depends on the number and type of power supplies installed, the AC input voltage and whether the system is configured for maximum power or redundancy.
Why choose NETGEAR AV Line switches?
NETGEAR AV Line switches are specifically engineered for professional audio, video and lighting over IP. The M4350 series combines the AV-focused simplicity introduced with the M4250 platform with more powerful enterprise hardware, faster uplinks, stacking and redundant power options.
A dedicated AV graphical interface uses terminology familiar to AV technicians, while preconfigured profiles simplify the deployment of technologies such as Dante, AES67, Q-SYS, NDI, NVX, SDVoE, IPMX and AVB. These profiles help apply suitable VLAN, multicast and Quality of Service settings without requiring each network feature to be configured manually.
NETGEAR IGMP Plus helps prevent multicast flooding, while Auto-Trunk and Auto-LAG simplify connections between compatible switches. The NETGEAR Engage Controller provides centralised configuration and management across supported NETGEAR AV switches.
AVB support included
Unlike M4250 models that may require an additional AVB licence, AVB support is included with the MSM4352. This makes the switch suitable for standards-based time-sensitive audio and video networking without requiring a separately purchased AVB activation licence.
Enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
The MSM4352 is equally suited to professional IT networks. Its comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 feature set includes VLANs, access controls, link aggregation, multicast management, Quality of Service and static, policy-based and dynamic routing.
It can be managed through the AV-focused interface, the conventional NETGEAR IT web interface, command-line interface, SNMP and other established network-management methods. This enables AV technicians and IT administrators to use the management environment most appropriate to their responsibilities.
Virtual Chassis stacking and high availability
M4350 Virtual Chassis stacking allows multiple compatible switches to be managed and operated as a unified system. Non-stop forwarding and hitless failover help maintain network traffic if a stack member or management function experiences a failure.
The four 25G SFP28 ports can support high-speed stacking connections, enabling scalable access, aggregation and core architectures for larger AV and IT deployments.
Suitable for AV, commercial and data-centre networks
Although the MSM4352 is engineered for professional AV over IP, it is also an enterprise-class switch for campus networks, data centres and server rooms. Its combination of 2.5G and 10G copper access ports, 25G fibre connectivity, advanced routing, stacking and redundant power options makes it suitable for organisations with demanding performance and availability requirements.
The switch can support high-density WiFi deployments, servers, workstations, IP surveillance, VoIP, network storage and other business-critical infrastructure. It can be deployed as an access, aggregation or core switch, depending on the size and design of the network.
The AV-specific features are additional capabilities rather than restrictions. The MSM4352 can operate as a dedicated AV switch, a conventional commercial network switch or part of a converged infrastructure carrying business data, voice, surveillance, audio and video traffic.
Controlled cooling and quiet operation
Intelligent fan controls provide Quiet and Cool operating modes. Quiet Mode reduces acoustic output for sound-sensitive environments, while Cool Mode prioritises thermal management for installations with high PoE loads or elevated ambient temperatures.
At 25°C, NETGEAR specifies a Quiet Mode acoustic level of approximately 34dBA. Actual noise levels will vary according to PoE loading, installed power supplies, fan settings and environmental conditions.
