The UniFi Access Ultra (UA-ULTRA) is an all-in-one device that integrates an NFC/mobile credential reader with a built-in single-door access hub, meaning you do not need a separate standalone access control hub.

To make it fully operational, you still need the following core components:

UniFi Console: A compatible UniFi OS console (such as a Dream Machine Pro, Dream Wall, Cloud Gateway Max, or CloudKey+) running the UniFi Access application for system management and user/credential configuration.

PoE+ Power Source: A PoE+ (802.3at) switch or injector to supply power and network data via an Ethernet cable (the UA-Ultra requires up to 18W).

Electric Lock or Strike: A compatible 12V DC lock (draw up to 1A max) wired directly to the UA-Ultra's built-in lock terminal.

Exit Request Device (Optional): A physical push-to-exit button or motion sensor wired to the exit request input terminal if free egress is needed from the inside.

Credentials: UniFi NFC cards, keyfobs, or the UniFi Identity / Endpoint mobile app configured on your smartphones.
