Ubiquiti UDM-PRO-MAX Dream Machine Pro Max 10 Gbps Multi-WAN UniFi Management Gateway
Includes full UniFi application suite for device management.
Ubiquiti UDM-Pro-Max UniFi Dream Machine Pro Max
The Ubiquiti UDM-Pro-Max is a 1U rackmount UniFi Cloud Gateway combining advanced routing, 5 Gbps IDS/IPS performance and integrated management for networking, surveillance and access control. With 10G connectivity, support for 200+ UniFi devices and dual NVR drive bays, it provides a central platform for growing business networks.
Integrated UniFi Management for the Whole Site
The Dream Machine Pro Max runs the full UniFi application suite, including Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect. Administrators can manage compatible switches, access points and building systems from one console, without a separate CloudKey.
Its published capacity of 2,000+ connected users makes it suitable for substantial office, hospitality and education installations. Size deployments around the combination of applications and devices operating concurrently.
5 Gbps IDS/IPS and Application-Aware Security
Intrusion detection and prevention help identify and block suspicious network traffic, while application-aware firewall policies provide control over network use.
The published 5 Gbps IDS/IPS rating supports high-speed internet deployments, although actual throughput depends on configuration and traffic. The 10G interfaces provide connection capacity; they do not imply 10 Gbps inspected performance.
Optional CyberSecure protection is available as a separate annual subscription.
Flexible 10G Connections and Multi-WAN Routing
Two SFP+ interfaces provide high-speed connectivity for internet services and compatible switches. A 2.5GbE RJ45 interface accommodates multi-gigabit copper connections, alongside eight Gigabit Ethernet ports.
For adjacent rack equipment, an optional Ubiquiti 10G Direct Attach Cable provides a straightforward SFP+ connection. Choose optical modules and fibre when greater distance is required.
Dual Drive Bays for UniFi Protect
Two 3.5-inch NVR bays allow surveillance recording and redundant storage within the gateway. Purchase suitable recording drives separately and size them around camera resolution, recording schedules and retention requirements.
The integrated 128 GB SSD supports system responsiveness. Recording capacity should be planned around the installed NVR drives, with important footage exported separately.
Automatic Gateway Failover with Shadow Mode
For sites where gateway availability is critical, two UDM-Pro-Max appliances can operate as a Shadow Mode pair. Using VRRP and connection-state tracking, the secondary gateway can take over gateway and management functions if the primary fails.
This requires two units of the same model, UniFi OS 4.0.6 or later and the prescribed WAN, LAN and dedicated high-availability connections. The second appliance is purchased separately.
Optional Redundant Power
The DC backup input supports the optional Ubiquiti USP-RPS Redundant Power System, providing an alternative power path if the internal supply fails. Pair the installation with suitable UPS protection where continued operation during mains outages is required.
UDM-Pro-Max or UDM-Beast?
The UDM-Pro-Max suits deployments needing integrated UniFi applications, dual recording bays and up to 5 Gbps IDS/IPS performance. Consider the UDM-Beast for substantially greater device capacity, 25G uplinks or multiple 10GbE copper connections.
