Ubiquiti UniFi Protect AI Professional 4K Security Camera – UVC-AI-PRO-WHITE

The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect AI Professional UVC-AI-PRO-WHITE is a premium white 4K PoE security camera designed for detailed indoor and outdoor surveillance. Combining an 8-megapixel image sensor, 3× optical zoom, long-range infrared night vision and advanced AI detection, it can intelligently identify people, vehicles, animals, faces and licence plates. Its durable IP65-rated enclosure, two-way audio and flexible mounting options make it an excellent choice for commercial buildings, schools, warehouses, retail premises, car parks and high-value residential installations.

4K Ultra HD Video with 3× Optical Zoom

The UVC-AI-PRO-WHITE captures detailed 3840 × 2160 video at up to 30 frames per second. Its large 1/1.8-inch 8MP image sensor and HDR processing help retain important detail across areas containing both bright light and deep shadow.

An adjustable 4.1–12.3mm lens provides 3× optical zoom, allowing the installer to configure either a wide overview or a tighter view of an entrance, driveway, gate, loading area or other critical location. Unlike digital magnification, optical zoom adjusts the lens to bring distant subjects closer without simply enlarging the pixels in the image.

At its widest setting, the camera provides a 109.9° horizontal field of view. At maximum optical zoom, the horizontal field of view narrows to 34.9° for more concentrated coverage.

AI Face Recognition and Licence Plate Recognition

Powerful onboard AI processing enables the UniFi AI Professional camera to distinguish important activity from general movement. Supported intelligent detection capabilities include:

• Licence plate recognition

These detections make recorded footage easier to search and allow administrators to create more relevant alerts. Instead of reviewing hours of continuous video, users can quickly locate events involving a particular category of subject.

Camera positioning, lighting, subject distance, angle and movement can affect facial and licence plate recognition performance. For dedicated roadside plate capture, Ubiquiti’s specialised AI LPR camera may be more appropriate.

Long-Range Infrared Night Vision

Integrated infrared LEDs provide night vision at distances of up to 25 metres, allowing the camera to monitor outdoor areas and poorly illuminated spaces after dark. An automatic infrared-cut filter switches between daytime colour imaging and infrared night mode.

The optional UniFi AI Pro Enhancer can extend infrared coverage to approximately 40 metres and add a visible floodlight. When using the Enhancer, the camera’s maximum power requirement increases from 11W to 22W.

Two-Way Audio for Live Communication

An integrated microphone and speaker provide two-way audio through UniFi Protect. Authorised users can listen to activity and speak through the camera using the Protect interface, making the UVC-AI-PRO-WHITE suitable for entrances, delivery areas, gates and other locations where live communication may be helpful.

Local laws and workplace policies relating to audio recording and surveillance should be considered when enabling audio features.

Weather-Resistant White Outdoor Security Camera

The UVC-AI-PRO-WHITE features an IP65-rated enclosure that protects it against dust and water jets, making it suitable for exposed outdoor locations when correctly installed. Its aluminium-alloy and polycarbonate construction provides a durable yet professional-looking finish, while the white colour suits light-coloured walls, ceilings, soffits and building exteriors.

The camera also carries an IK04 impact-resistance rating. Wall, ceiling and pole-mounting hardware is included, while optional accessories are available for junction-box and angled-base installations.

Simple Gigabit Ethernet and PoE Installation

A single Gigabit Ethernet connection carries video, management traffic and power, simplifying camera installation and eliminating the need for a separate electrical outlet at the camera location.

The camera operates from standard PoE at 37–57V DC and consumes up to 11W by itself. A compatible PoE switch or injector is required and is generally sold separately. Installations using the optional AI Pro Enhancer should allow for its higher combined power requirement of up to 22W.

Part of the UniFi Protect Surveillance Ecosystem

UniFi Protect is Ubiquiti’s scalable video surveillance platform, bringing cameras, recording, event detection, live viewing and system administration together within one interface. Recordings and AI events are stored locally on a compatible UniFi Console or network video recorder rather than being uploaded to cloud storage by default.

Users can view live video, search AI detection events, review recordings, export clips, configure alerts and use two-way audio through the UniFi Protect web interface and mobile application. Remote access is available through an encrypted connection, while video remains under the organisation’s control.

UniFi Protect does not require ongoing camera licensing fees. A compatible Protect-capable console or recorder is required, such as selected UniFi Cloud Gateways, CloudKey+, UNVR or UNVR Pro. Storage capacity and the number of supported cameras depend on the selected console, installed drives, recording settings and retention requirements.
