Grandstream GWN7813P 28-Port Layer 3 Managed Ethernet Switch, PoE++, 24x 1G, 4x SFP+, 370W PoE Budget
Enterprise Layer 3 Managed 802.3af/at/bt PoE++ Network Switch with 24 x GigE and 4 x SFP+
The Grandstream GWN7813P is a 24-port Layer 3 managed PoE switch built for medium-to-large business networks. It combines 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports, four 10Gbps SFP+ uplinks, a 370W PoE budget and PoE++ support on eight ports, providing a capable access-layer platform for wireless access points, IP surveillance, voice and other networked devices.
24-port Gigabit switching with high-speed 10G uplinks
The GWN7813P provides 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting access points, cameras, IP phones, computers and other wired equipment. Four additional 10Gbps SFP+ ports provide high-speed connectivity to servers, storage, network cores or other switches.
The SFP+ interfaces support compatible:
- 10Gbps single-mode optical modules
- 10Gbps multimode optical modules
- Up to two 10GBASE-T RJ45 transceiver modules
- Direct-attach copper cables up to five metres
With 128Gbps of switching capacity and 64Gbps of non-blocking throughput, the switch can process traffic across all 24 access ports without relying on limited Gigabit uplinks.
370W PoE budget with PoE++ on eight ports
All 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports can provide standards-based PoE, with a combined output budget of up to 370W.
Ports 1–8 support IEEE 802.3bt PoE++, delivering up to 60W per port for higher-powered equipment. Ports 9–24 support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE and PoE+, with up to 30W available per port.
This mixed-power design makes the GWN7813P suitable for networks containing standard PoE devices alongside equipment with higher power requirements, such as advanced wireless access points, PTZ cameras, video conferencing hardware and access-control devices.
Smart PoE features include:
- Configurable maximum power per port
- PoE scheduling
- Port power prioritisation
- Dynamic power negotiation through LLDP-MED
- Remote power control for connected devices
The total 370W power budget is shared across the switch, so the planned combined consumption of all connected devices should be checked during system design.
Layer 3 routing for segmented business networks
The Grandstream GWN7813P includes Layer 3 functionality for routing traffic between network segments without sending every connection through an external router.
It supports up to 512 IPv4 and 128 IPv6 routes, including up to 32 static routes for each protocol. Dynamic routing support includes RIP, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3 and BGP.
These capabilities allow the switch to participate in more sophisticated network designs while supporting both established IPv4 environments and newer IPv6 deployments.
Advanced VLAN support for users, voice, cameras and guests
Support for up to 4,000 VLANs allows administrators to separate users, voice services, surveillance systems, wireless networks, guests and building-management equipment.
VLAN capabilities include:
- IEEE 802.1Q tagged VLANs
- Port-based VLANs
- MAC-based VLANs
- Protocol-based VLANs
- Private VLANs
- QinQ
- Voice VLAN with automatic voice-device identification
- Up to 16 VLAN interfaces with a 9,216-byte MTU
This provides the flexibility required to create clearly defined network zones and apply different access or performance policies to each type of traffic.
Traffic prioritisation for voice, video and critical applications
Integrated Quality of Service controls help protect latency-sensitive traffic when links become busy. Voice calls, video conferencing and other priority applications can be placed ahead of less time-sensitive data.
QoS capabilities include:
- Port-based priority
- Priority mapping
- Strict Priority scheduling
- Weighted Round Robin
- Weighted Fair Queuing
- Combined SP-WRR and SP-WFQ scheduling
- Traffic shaping
- Rate limiting
The switch also supports IGMP v2/v3 snooping, MLD v1/v2 snooping and Multicast VLAN Registration. These features help control multicast traffic in surveillance, AV, conferencing and other one-to-many applications.
Layered network access and threat protection
The GWN7813P includes a comprehensive set of controls for authenticating devices, limiting access and protecting the local network against common attacks.
Security features include:
- IEEE 802.1X authentication
- MAC-based authentication
- RADIUS and TACACS+ integration
- DHCP and DHCPv6 snooping
- Dynamic ARP inspection
- IPv4 and IPv6 source guard
- Port isolation
- Port security and sticky MAC addressing
- MAC address filtering
- DoS attack protection
- Storm control
- BPDU, root and loopback protection
- Up to 2,000 Ethernet, IPv4 and IPv6 access control lists
These capabilities allow network administrators and MSPs to apply granular controls to users, endpoints and individual network segments.
Flexible local, cloud and on-premises management
The Grandstream GWN7813P can be configured through its local web interface or command-line interface. Console, SSH and Telnet access are supported, along with SNMP v1, v2c and v3 for integration with third-party monitoring platforms.
Grandstream management options include:
- GDMS Networking cloud management
- GWN Manager on-premises management
- Compatible Grandstream GWN Series routers
- Local web interface
- Console, SSH and Telnet CLI access
Monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities include CPU and memory monitoring, RMON, Syslog, Ping, Traceroute, copper cable testing, SPAN and RSPAN port mirroring.
Resilient switching for important network infrastructure
The GWN7813P supports a range of features designed to maintain network availability, including:
- STP, RSTP and MSTP
- PVST+ and RPVST+
- Up to 32 link aggregation groups
- Dual boot redundancy
- Dual system-file redundancy
- Power supply and fan monitoring
- Surge and electrostatic-discharge protection
- Intelligent fan-speed control
- Stacking of up to four compatible switches
Stacking allows multiple supported switches to be managed as a single logical system while increasing available ports and switching capacity.
Optional redundant power supply
The GWN7813P supports the optional Grandstream RPS-300W-B external 54V, 300W redundant power supply. This provides an additional power source for deployments where continuity is particularly important.
The RPS-300W-B is not included with the switch and must be ordered separately.
GWN7813P compared with the GWN7812P
The GWN7812P provides 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports, four 10Gbps SFP+ ports and a 240W PoE budget. It is suitable for smaller installations where every powered endpoint requires no more than 30W.
The GWN7813P is better suited to larger or more power-intensive deployments because it adds:
- 24 rather than 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports
- Eight PoE++ ports delivering up to 60W each
- A 370W rather than 240W total PoE budget
- Optional external redundant power support
- Higher overall switching and forwarding capacity
For networks requiring 2.5GbE access ports for newer Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 7 access points, the multi-gigabit GWN7822P should also be considered. The GWN7813P’s copper ports operate at up to 1Gbps.
