An update of MikroTik's CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+PC, the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC has removed the switch-chip, leaving each of the 7 Gigabit Ethernet ports fully independent and removing the 1Gbit limitation present in the previous model. The newer model also features a combo-port, a single 1Gbit software interface that has two hardware interfaces - an SFP cage and a Gigabit Ethernet port - allowing you to use any type of connection available to you. The combo-port can also switch between interfaces from software or can provide a unique hardware fail-over feature in the event of a disconnect.
With ports now independently connected to the CPU, the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC is capable of higher theoretical throughput than its predecessor, offering 18Gbps instead of 16Gbps. The device also supports 100BASE-LX/100BASE-SX/100BASE-BX fiber modules in addition to standard 1.25G SFP modules.
This unit is equipped with passive cooling enclosure, two heat-pipes and a specially designed heat-sink, so its completely silent. It’s powered by an external 24v 2.5A AC/DC adapter and supports power redundancy if you also power it from the PoE input port. The CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC additionally includes an LCD touchscreen, smart card slot, microSD and a SFP+ port for 10G connections.
Designed for rack mounting, the CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC ships with racking ears.
