The DrayTek VigorAP 906 is a dual-band 802.11ax wireless Access Point suitable for high-density environments where a large number of concurrent Wi-Fi connections need to be supported, such as in classrooms, conferences, offices, public events, etc.

2×2 MU-MIMO and Beamforming features provide excellent Wi-Fi connectivity with a maximum of 3 Gbps aggregated link data rate. The Plug-n-Play Mesh technology in the VigorAP 906 supports up to 7 Mesh node Access Points to be wirelessly interconnected as a Mesh group to provide extended wireless coverage. This can be quickly and easily set up using the built-in Quick Start Wizard or with the free Smartphone app that is available from DrayTek. (check mesh compatible list for more details).

The Wi-Fi Mesh technology in VigorAP 906 improves the reliability of the network with the redundancy features ensuring alternative paths are available in the event of uplink connection failures, so as to maintain the continuity of Wi-Fi services.

The VigorAP 906 features the latest 802.11ax Wi-Fi technology with a combined throughput of 3000 Mbps (2402 Mbps for the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps for the 2.4 GHz band).

VigorAP 906 can function as the Root AP to scan and auto-provision settings to up to 30 Vigor APs within the same LAN subnet. The 5 Gigabit LAN ports can be divided into two segments, with 4 ports in segment A and 1 port in segment B.

Three Modes in One

AP Mode - VigorAP acts as a bridge between wireless devices and wired Ethernet network, and exchanges data between them.
Range Extender - VigorAP acts as a wireless repeater. It can be a Station and an AP at the same time
Mesh - Wirelessly connect 1~8 APs, and form a Mesh Group. A mesh network creates a set of links automatically and calculate the most optimal wireless path through the wireless network back to a wired Mesh Root.
