Q:Can I create a virtual analogue extension from my PABX, across an IP network, to a phone or fax machine in a remote office?
A:A virtual analog line can be created using an FXO and FXS gateway. The complete signaling and media (voice, fax, or modem) of the analog phone line is extended over IP. This enables a PBX analog extension line to be extended to a home office or satellite office. The analog line extension relays DTMF, hook-flash and CLI to provide full PBX feature access over the IP network. (see Patton SmartNode products)
